Written rule for horse race: Declarations close at 10.00am, two days prior to the race for flat racing and for jump racing on Sundays, and on the day before the race for most other jump races. A horse will be taken out of the race if it is not declared to run. Please note that the declaration stage may be earlier for races on Boxing Day and for several other major jump races, for example the Grand National.
