Google's web "spiders" constantly seek through websites for updates for their servers. Their financial page scours the web for any updates with the "tags" of the stock symbol or company name, then displays those new articles in its news feed. In this case, any updates referencing "BHRT" or "Bioheart".

So yes, by looking on Google's BHRT stock page, I was "alerted"... by the most popularly used web site in all of existence.
