Sure they do. It's a largely mechanical job. They concentrate on what other MMs are doing, not on company fluff.

If there's a divvy on the horizon, they'll get an automatic alert when the ex date hits.

MMs are busy guys. They don't have time to sit around reading stuff.

You think an MM trading in hundred or even thousands of stocks making hundreds of trades a day, reads all the filings and news releases of every stock?

Get real.

By the way NITE and UBSS probably get 80% of the order flow on the pennies and pinks between the two of them. At one time NITE alone was 70%.
