I wonder if anyone else here uses sophisticated trading platforms like TOS or the platforms from Etrade or Fidelity. I use Medved QuoteTracker to display 70 real-time charts to keep an eye on the markets, various sectors and my favorite stocks.

I feel like I'm flying blind without it.

I love your anecdotes, repeated endlessly as if they're relevant to more than a teensy fraction of people.

Perhaps like my of related assertion that real work can be done on a tablet- or phone-centered platform... But I think more people could get their work done on a mobile platform than care about the particulars of your personal trading platform.
