hmm. perhaps it has something to do with the use of "fan" here. if you check out slashdot, e.g., the thread there on the matrix is a long debate on the "philosophy of the movie". plenty of others seem to be happy enuf just to walk out of the movie confused and go have some waffles.

That target audience description is pretty accurate,imo.The Matrix movies are rated 'R',so the target audience is obviously older than 17.And I would say it definitely is aimed at techies,comix fans,and action movie fans=young males.I'm in my mid 30s and I think they're awesome flix(will see 'Reloaded' next week),but I still play video games as well.<g>
