Housing prices are currently running about $300/sq. ft... for about half acre size lots. You could get about 10K sq. ft. for the $3M price tag, and there are several of those around. I think the median price is still below $500k:-)
Actually, Folsom itself is more the cheap seats. The neighboring communities of El Dorado Hills and Granite Bay is where most of the expensive homes are.
