Agreed. I see no reason why AAPL couldn't do it...unlike QCOM which cares more about the total SoC (makes sense as a merchant vendor), AAPL seems to be hell-bent on having the best CPU core in the industry.

A7 is what I had expected from Merrifield before we knew where Silvermont performance roughly stood. Heck, if Merrifield had shipped in devices in September that would have been a really competitive product, but timing really ruined it unfortunately.
