In science, even if you have the holy grail. That is even more reason to be humble, cause somebody out there will come out against you. Take cold fusion for instance, could have changed the world. But the opponent scientists bad mouth it so bad, they could not get a patent on it, and the technology is now regulated to just a back yard hobby. The original scientists that made the discovery were ostracized forever, now broken men. Even though we had 17k replications of the technology since 89, it just has a bad name. That's why you take things slow, dont claim to much, let others speak on your behalf. If you come out, claiming things that are just even a little untrue, or you make a mistake in your analysis, you will never recover.
