It does seem to be a forced measure for whatever reason...but a RS makes it look good on paper, but the moment you lose the ratio of shares and then the stock price starts to drop, you are losing severe value in your portfolio. If it goes up, you are ok, but that rarely happens after a RS. Trust me on this...
Companies who issue RS are not healthy companies financially and that is a major red flag that the ship is sinking or about to sink.
Bottom line is that this stock needs to increase to .01x in 7 days.
I have seen other stocks utilize RS only to frustrate the values of stockholders's investments.
