I agree with all your points, but I honestly don't see how/why this $1.2 million default would affect future financing. If the science is groundbreaking, as I am hoping it is, then financiers should easily come on board. Why the company will risk to lose its intellectual property at this stage of the game? We are slowly starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and we either go big or go home, nothing in between. I am hoping to go big, but the risk to go home is also lurking. But as I mentioned before why the company will risk all the work and achievements and go bankrupt. Anyway, I am just an investor like you hoping for the best.
