Since us longs have so much time on our hands --- lets think of possible scenarios for the current trading activity --- could the share-selling also be for the purpose of an acquisition that APT was waiting to do after it went public ??

The dilution is from FROZ. It was stated as part of the merger deal that FROZ, which was currently $2 mil or so in debt, had to get their debt down to $600k or so within the next year. This is where the dilution comes into play. APT is not diluting.
