Good question T. I just thought it would be most fair to have a commitment relatively early in the season. If we extended it for, say, 12 races instead of 2, and hypothetically a person had a huge lead after twelve races and then decided to get in, I think that would be a bit unfair to those that committed early.
Also anybody who was leaking oil and woefully behind at the 12 week mark might not be very inclined to commit as they would early on when it is all unknown but exciting to speculate on.
However, if the rest of the Gift Card group as a whole wanted to extend the commitment date beyond 2 races I would be totally ok with it.
Something we could all decide upon for next year.
