It was at JFK's new terminal 4. It doesn't necessarily mean it was a recent order; I have no idea what the TSA might keep in ETD inventory. I've been through a fair number of airports in the past six months and the only machines I've noticed are Smiths. Some are the new ones that you see on their site and others have appeared much older.
