Whose keeping it down? There's no buying pressure. It's stagnant. If you're a trader, and nothing is happening to the stock, you tend to sell into the bid when someones actually "trying" to buy shares rather than sit and stare at your money do nothing.

Plus it's Thursday aka friday for the week because there's no trading tomorrow. In a downtrending stock "traders" who aren't looking for fundamental value are either in because they see technical potential or out because the technicals they see don't have a great risk/reward ratio.

Remember, not everyone reads up on a company before buying stock in it. Charts are like the matrix... Some people only read in 0s and 1s.
