Set a sell order (until cancelled) so high like .25 or whatever your trading system allows as max.

Call your broker and set the sale order for Good untilCancelled and set it for a least .75-$1.00 per share! Thats what I do!

Do you have a margin account? Only shares in a margin account can be shorted.

The company borrows the shares from the margin account for you to sell short.

Most companies don't allow the shorting of OTC stocks. They are usually thinly traded so it adds another level risk to the company. I would check with you broker to see if they do.
