My tablet (A Dell venue 7) mainly serves as my portable stereo..I plug it into a couple of good speakers and listen to amazon cloud, mostly classical music. This then doesn't conflict with my desktop operations. The thing is so underpowered in audio output that I really need 75 -100 watt speakers, but I usually use it locally in the room I am working in. Aside from that and the occasional freecell game it's pretty useless. I'm still using XP on my desk top, run Scientific Workplace in windows, which is an excellent Maple engine with Latex (I like it because you can do a run of heavy mathematical analysis and then print the file as needed for notes), and I dual boot Ubuntu Linux off that machine for other hard core computing. The only machine I would consider now is an Asus T100 64GB (once I can trust that the bugs are out of it) to use for travel. I have a heavy weight laptop with win 7 and Ubuntu that I use now and I'm tired of lugging it around.
