There is irony that Intel has been put in the position where they have to more aggressively challenge their competitor's performance prospects, but the question is now what AMD can do in response. Mas seems to think quad core this year is far more likely.

And, no it is not ironic. Intel was never great. AMD is not a small competitor. It is business. You were winning. Now you are about to lose. Too bad.
