Re: As far as INTC and AMD share price goes, AMD is still
the ANALysts's golden haired boy. They know market
share but IMO deep down they don't know an instruction
pipeline from an oil pipeline. I don't think the current spell
will be truly broken until some third party data shows AMD
giving up market share to Intel and maybe even having a
losing quarter or two to remind them of the bad old days.
I like your conservative perspective. You may be spot on, but it doesn't hurt to buy some long term positions. Maybe some Jan 07 puts and a small amount of Jan 08s. If AMD has a quarter or two of losses some time next year, that would be the perfect time to exercise them.
