OT: RAM....

If your RAM is bogged down it has to "time share" and slows your system. Closing any unused open applications can help.

If you have available slots you can purchase more RAM, at your local CC :), to easily install and increase the performance.

OT: pvc, MORE RAM will speed everything up. You shouldn't buy "faster" RAM than what is on your machine though. Memory modules come in different speeds (200, 600 MhZ, etc) Your computer was installed with memory modules of a certain type and speed and that type and speed should be matched if you want to add more.
