Why would it be puzzling? Half the people call these stocks "investments". Most of them can't even spell. It's not that puzzling that they'd buy junk and not even know it.

Cheaper shares? Like under half a penny is somehow expensive or something? Or is the pps going down because the stock is garbage? Hmmmm.
