#23294 RE: Tom Swift #23292

Hey, Tom, you must have seen all sorts of nonsense where cars can be made to run on water.

It's amazing the hoaxes that can sometimes be played on even seemingly lucid and intelligent folk.

I have told before about my partner in a lab getting the task of telling the President of the United States he was an idiot. JFK had been watching the Joe Pyne show, presumably when Jackie was in town. Pyne had a fine guest whose Saranga Ray (his name was Saranga) had been stolen by our lab. It seemed the Saranga Ray could penetrate clouds and all manner of obstacles from America to see Russia launching ICBM's as well save gas with your carburetor. When the POTUS writes a letter to the commander of a military base to ask why we had stolen an inventor's valuable secrets.... Well I tell you I was glad it was not my assignment.

I suspect the Navy has somewhat more knowledgeable people than the kind of folks we like to elect president. I doubt they planned on extracting hydrogen and CO2 from seawater without use of some kind of power which could be in the form of solar or wind power but they would seem hardly sufficient to me.

Best, Terry
