#17053 RE: SooS416 #17042

Ok, this is the last post.

Thanks for doing the research. I checked back a few months ago and Marvel clearly had more non-Marvel ads. I did count ads featuring DC characters (like toys) as DC ads, as well as any movies or TV shows/DVDs by Time Warner, I did the same for Marvel/Disney.

I have always agreed that there are enough companies that can advertise, just that not many are advertising in comics. Maybe it is the price (CPM rate), maybe they just are not asked. I don't know.

I have applauded (and still do) Red Giant/Benny for trying this. If successful, it could help drive down the price of comic books as more advertisers sign up industrywide. I don't think ever increasing comic book prices is a sustainable model for the comic book industry.

I hope you see that REDG need a lot of advertisers for this to work. They probably need more companies advertising than are currently advertising across all comic book publishers, right now.

Edit
Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) will be a chance for shareholders to count how many different advertisers REDG has, so far. The FCBD books are smaller (less pages) so they won't need as many advertisers per book. Hopefully, there is a large variety of advertisers across all four books, though.

FCBD is a proof of concept day for REDG, it's not a magical day where they are going to make huge profits.
