Can't say I disagree with you Hing.

That would be a free market, right?

It's a very thorny issue, full of protectionism, environmental devastation, and quintessientially "Western" technology spun off to China 50 years under terms we'll probably never ever know.

Like most, my big concern today is avoiding the end of the world. Right now, if we do not change course and use less energy, most of us will die very young. China is correct with the one child policy, but the growth there is crazier than anything the world has ever seen.

As far as export quotas.... let me tell you Hing, I do some selling and buying on ebay, and search for certain esoteric materials to get a good idea of price... there are SO MANY rare earths out there on the black market, I don't thing the PRC has ever been in control, at least not lately (the same is true for much of Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia, elsewhere, maybe even the US).

Nice to see your posts here. It is pretty clear who is honest, who is not, your posts always catch my eye and I hope I do the same for you,
