did you get to visit Haleakala Crater
"House of the Sun" . my cousin lives there and took me on an 18 hour hike through the crater and it was great! they have a lottery every year and if you are picked you can stay in the cabin in the crater. damn i want to go back. i go to wakiki (spelling ????) quite often with the NAVY but mauie is the best!!
