Spoke, some very good points indeed. And no I dont think you are turning into a basher, in fact I often get private messages here from people accusing ME of being a basher.

Regarding the salary of the CEO, people get paid for their position rather than what they do. For example, I am a software developer and make a pretty decent salary. My neighbor on the ohter hand works in a warehouse and comes home all tired, dirty with a miminal paycheck. Who works harder? I would say HE does, yet he earns one third of what I do. Its becasue people get paid for their position or "title". Hence Brad is getting paid for his "title" of CEO, regardless of the amount of output he is producing. Pesonally I am not a huge fan of Brad or Ray as I impied in an earlier post (see below) but they make big salaries becasue that is what the market offers and they are capitalizing on it, as most in that situation would do.

CaliforniaInvestor, I also concur with your statements about the performance of Ray. As a senior executive, he has to be held accountable for his mistakes and/or for misleading his shareholders. It is for that very reason that this organization has lost so much credibility and the confidence of their investors. Hate to sound so pessimistic, but this organization really needs to change their sloppy habits soon.

Being the CEO/Senior Executive/Officer/President of a public company is not simply a free ticket to writing yourself a salary - he has an obligation to increase shareholder value or clearly communicate progress or problems that the company encounters so that shareholders can make fair and informed decisons about their investment.

NVEI should never forget that their most valuable asset is NOT their technology but their shareholders...
