Ocean Energy used to be United Meridian which grew from a wildcat in West Africa, E.G. I think. Meridian was small and had a hard time finding a partner to fund development. There was also a border dispute with Nigeria to overcome. Zafiro Field I think. Somebody with that type of experience would be a real asset in this situation.
