Time value of money. Reduction of risk for many factors. IMO we would gain a whole lot by a partnership that involved decent up front money. We need to get this drug into many many trials. The amount of money lost due to delay from lack of resources could be astronomical.
I don't want to get screwed by BP but I am not against giving a little extra away if it means getting bavi and BBs in many many trials. We will make all the money up in time value of money and number of indications addressed much sooner.
