Yes, paucity of short covering does make declines sharper, not just because of the lack of buying but because those inclined to go the dark side become emboldened when a decline develops and thus they accelerate the move by further shorting.. QLGC went at $47.45 a penny loss, and MERQ went at $36.74 for $.16 loss. got to take some losses as well. CYMI went at $29.96, a minor gain, not worth the play, but I got to reduce exposure overnight here (now at the desired 50% cash level).
