Hell freezes over: Microsoft makes Windows free for some devices

Very interesting, and a boost for Intel. Any idea how they will tell the difference between 9 inches and 14, will this only be available to approved vendors to install or something like that? Software houses like Adobe would probably be interested in also changing less for such platforms but they'd need a good way of differentiating what they're installing on otherwise they'll just have to offer a lower specced version which is basically how Microsoft has been doing it up till now.
