I have a 401K and I have the money in stock funds. Last year I watched the stock funds go from 6% to (-7%) then back up and settled around 6% at the end of the year. I would like to take advantage of the swings. I currently have a bond fund and 2 stock funds. I would like to move the money from the stock funds, to the bond fund, when they are going down then back to the stock funds when they start to go back up.

I believe that charts are a good tool for monitoring stocks.

Question:
Are charts good for monitoring funds, and if so, which indicators should I use??

Tks
