virus issues !!

I'm on the phone with AppleCare about the issue I raised in http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=9992219

He's trying to field me and my questions to .mac on the grounds that Virex is a third party app, even though Apple supplied it originally. I'm resisting that runaround and he's presently checking further with a "product specialist".

I can see the writing on the wall if viruses become a real mac headache. Apple is just not up to speed even though it could cut mac sales like a hot knife through butter should the news spread that macs aren't as safe as we all blithely believed for so long.
