And thats the kind of banker/contract language I have been waiting to hear LOC 'Letters of credit' !

Now GTE needs to give the Russians performance bonds

The deal looked extraordinary naive and faith based when first announced.

Looks like my scenario wont play now the russians are on the hook.

If it doesnt happen it looks like the fault has been planted at the russian partners feet.

No doubt GTE will look elsewhere for another partner if this doesnt close shortly by the sound of todays announcement.
