If my understanding is correct, although, the esthetics of the user interface, on the human scale, has it's merits, I believe any challenges would probably be on the physics side of the equation. While it is often said that programmers are often the worst candidates to write user manuals for their programs, medical researchers are adapt enough to forgo serious impediments. It is mostly the correctness of the mathematics that need be ascertained, sometimes taking millions of iterations to find the smallest of errors.
