Stock manipulations possibly? I saw a very interesting news piece on 60 minutes regarding HFT (high frequency trading) manipulations and I honestly think that I fell victim to it yesterday. I tried like heck to fill an order when it opened for 20k shares @ 1.95, then 2.00, then 2.10 and it filled then. Shortly thereafter, the stock plummeted by 30/40 cents. I am not mad cause even at $2.10 this s a deal, but it made me wonder if the HFT are doing some of this.

On the same note, I now have a BUY order in for 25k shares @ 1.70 and lo and behold, it is not filling. I think if enough people had buy order in at a set price, we could keep the MM's from jacking us around. I could just be paranoid, but I could also be onto something. Either way, I''l let ya'll know if the order ever fills. It is All-or-None, for today.
