Not every colorectal surgeon, every oncologist, every general surgeon will use this. Just because a company put a new device on a website does this automatically mean physicians will use this. Intuitive has a TON of work to do to get utilization, so don't worry folks. The Intuitive website does say not available for sale in Europe, pending CE approval. Still looks like a huge robot that requires a big footprint. I'm ok with this development from Intuitive in how this relates to SPORT. I think they both can compete, you may even find in the big hospitals that you'll see both SPORT and ISRG robots in the same OR (different rooms of course). SPORT is going to be a huge hit.
