I have been in the market since the 1960's and it has been my opinion and experience with stocks awarding dividends (cash and stock) that the ex-dividend date must be announced, must be announced in advanced of the date, and cannot be announced after the date has already passed. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks in advance for your reply.
