Bottom line is this: the Titan robot will be another tool in the armamentarium of the urologist, GYN, and most importantly the general surgeon. There is certainly a market for a second robot. No other product in surgery has no competitor. The harmonic has the ensure. The greenlight has the button. Stryker has Olympus. There is always room for competition. Intuitive has a highly advanced machine but if you take a step back and look at the robot it's so large and unwieldy that it looks like it's from the 1960s. The small footprint if the Titan robot coupled with its cheaper price tag is where this product should shine. One of the hospitals I go to has a 3 room OR and could never fit or afford a davinci robot. The Titan product will bring in a whole new market. There are certainly many tipping points where the Titan product could fail but it doesn't matter what happens at SAGES. That is all short term BS. The reward will come when the SPORT comes to market. Now if something happens and it never makes it to market then all the longs will be wrong but hold tight and we should be good.
