It depends on who you are. For tens of millions of people, they have a better lifestyle because they can buy tons of stuff at Wal-Mart for pretty cheap prices. Obviously, it is bad for the GM workers who have lost their job and maybe some people who depended upon those people's purchasing power.
The real issue is what is happening under the surface. In the LONG RUN, even those that shop at Wal-Mart may be worse off. It takes decades for it to work out.
