Ontogeny Prodigiates Philogeny: FNMA

Many times the arguement boils down to
A. Philogeny Prodigiates Ontogeny
B. Ontogeny Prodigiates Philogeny

Where Philogeny is the development of the group and Ontogeny is the development of the individual. That is, who's rights are more important, those of the group or those of the individual?

In America, our country is founded upon individual rights, such as freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom from discrimination, etc. We beleive when individuals are free, our whole society will benefit. (B: Ontogeny prodigiates Philogeny).

In communism, they do the obverse, suggesting when the group is well, the individual will do well. That is, they do things for the state, not the people.

Our government is arguing A. That, if the shareholders will just give up their rights, then our whole country will benefit.

However, we (shareholders) are arguing B. That, if they take away shareholders rights for ONE group, they will do it for another and we will become a "state run" organization, where individuals do not own property, that all is owned by one big government.

Surely, if we allow our government to take our property (shareholder dividends), why would the government not take other property owners property? Why should APPLE shareholders not give up thier shares in favor of our government? Why not Microsoft?
And, if fnma shareholders give up their property, why not people who store money in bank accounts..why dont they, likewise, give up their accounts for the benefit of our government?
