From 2002 to 2006, Carlos Loret de Mola was appointed Executive President of the National Council for the Environment-CONAM (today the Ministry of Environment) and President of the National Environmental Fund - FONAM, serving under President Alejandro Toledo (2001 - 2006) both tenures.
