My guess is that the fittings on the end are COTS items which are certified to SAE or similar standards to meet certain material properties such as UTS, ductility, Izod or Charpy impact strength, hardness--that kind of thing. Even if they could be manufactured during the DMLM process it's probably more cost effective to purchase them and weld or braze them on and get started on the next batch of nozzles in the chamber. You can bet GE's analyzed this and has determined the critical path.
