Yea I hear you... I watched first hand the Elliots and Melling just rip MIS a new one from 84/85 till 86/87...somewhere in there...it was Mellings backyard and that team owned that track. I remember going there and my dad and I debating who was going to finish second...first place was a no brainer. The T-Birds were cool to look at, the Montes/Grand Prix/Cutlass/Regals were just GM typical... but occasionally DW, Petty, Earnhardt, Rusty, and Mark Martin gave them H#ll. My favorite race there still is 1991... Dale Jarret and Davey Allison... Dale won his first race with the Wood Brothers 21 Citgo Ford. The last 5 laps are still embedded in my head those two going at it...and noone complained about aero either.

Night races agree... Firecraker, Richmond, Darlington, Bristol...those 4 to me would be it.. oops... Charlotte too I guess...but no more than that.

Jaguar ran years ago in NASCAR...then they mandated made in America...then imports didn't run again. You're right...shouldn't matter anymore as long as its made In the USA you can run it. At one point Nissan was thinking about the truck series and getting into...that is why there were big changes to the Titan...not sure where that went, but I wouldn't mind seeing another manufacturer in the series. Predominantly this was a American manufacturer sport, but as you indicated...what do you consider American anymore? I have mixed feelings on that one, but see your point.

GM born and raised..family worked for them for years...family fought in this countries wars, some to never return from battle...my loyalty stays on home ground in the end...this is what my family fought for...in the grand scheme of things I do what I can to NOT send my money to Japan or China. Sometimes to no avail...but not without research and effort.

Good conversation...been a pleasure...have a good day an GLTY.
