Furthermore, If Microsoft were to acquire VRNG not only would they presumably obtain those 500 mobile patents (mobile is the future) but also presumably some control over ZTE use. It is to me interesting that VRNG willingly agreed to Google request for an extension until early May and that the Microsoft / Nokia deal should occur just days prior. ZTE may have settled by then, too. Some may argue that the extension was merely professional courtesy, but VRNG did oppose earlier stall tactics. Just food for thought.
