Here we go.

Mansfield intersects 1.65 g/t Au over 274 metres

2006-02-28 17:43 ET - News Release

Mr. Gordon Leask reports

LINDERO RETURNS EXCEPTIONAL DRILL HOLE LDH-19

Mansfield Minerals Inc. has received assay results from an additional six diamond drill holes at its 100-per-cent-owned Lindero property, Salta, Argentina. The following is a synopsis of the more significant intervals from the final drill holes of the recently completed drill program.

Hole Interval Intercept Au
(m) (m) (g/t)

LDH-17 0 - 80 80 1.35
incl. 0 - 50 50 1.82

LDH-18 30 - 150 120 0.88
incl. 44 - 116 72 1.08

LDH-19 0 - 274 274 1.65
incl. 0 - 178 178 2.1
incl. 36 - 110 74 3.17

LDH-20 0 - 116 116 0.88
incl. 24 - 86 62 1.22
and 212 - 246 34 0.48

LDH-21 82 - 166 84 0.85

All reported assay intervals are true widths.

In addition, hole LDH-16 was drilled to a depth of 150 metres to test for buried mineralized extensions north of the known surface manifestation of mineralization. This hole was collared 150 metres north of the mineralized surface outcrops and drilled away from the Lindero deposit. No significant intervals were returned.

Gold mineralization at Lindero is intrusive hosted within a dioritic porphyry. Ore grade mineralization in the main zone is hosted in an intense magnetite and quartz-magnetite stockwork which correlates with strong potassic alteration.

Aggressive follow-up drilling will commence as soon as is practical with the objective of further delineation and definition of the Lindero deposit. In conjunction with drilling, the company will undertake large diameter column leach testing and geotechnical studies with a view to completing a prefeasibility study on a timely basis. This information will provide the basis for the company's consultants to calculate a revised resource figure using a series of appropriate cut-off grades.

Security -- chain of custody and quality control

Two-metre lengths of HQ core samples were halved with a diamond saw and bagged at the field facility. The bags were tied with plastic colour-coded security ties. Sample bags were then placed in shipping boxes and couriered by company vehicle to the Acme Analytical Laboratories SA prep lab in Mendoza, Argentina. The prepped samples were then shipped by Acme to its lab in Santiago, Chile, where they were fire assayed for gold.

The company employs a quality control program consisting of reassaying randomly selected coarse reject samples, and insertion of coarse standard samples and blanks.
