I'd like to jump into the fray. One, DRYS is an ATM that is used too often. Two, Unlike other shipping companies, DRYS has an apparently viable arm that drills for deep water oil. Three, any entity attempting to get into the hauling business would be $foolish. There are too many ships from too many shipping companies plying the seas.
