Gillman - float are the available shares for trading (buying). The more shares that are bought and held, the lower the float. Generally, the lower the float the easier it is for the stock to rise quickly. New buyers will be forced to purchase the stock at a higher ask which drives the stock price higher. When looking at good stocks, the float and outstanding shares should be looked at. Many OTC stocks have floats in the billions, which causes the stocks to be stagnant unless a very large surge of buyers comes in. A stock like AMMX is in a much better position because the float is much smaller and therefore the price can go up or down without such heavy trading volumes. Hope this helps? Taking all of this into account with the solid company and great prospects makes this stock VERY exciting!
