Whispers overheard "...Banro...CNGC...Copper...shhh"

My Chinese isn't what it used to be but if what I heard is correct the China National Gold Corporation is looking for copper. Some of you may remember that back in 2011 Banro signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CNGC.

http://www.marketwired.com/press-release/china-gold-international-enters-into-memorandum-understanding-with-banro-corporation-tsx-cgg-1505212.htm

The MOU specifically stated that "that the parties intend to extend the cooperation to Banro's other properties located along the Twangiza-Namoya gold belt in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (the "DRC")." If the CNGC does indeed want copper the Congo is where to find it and the ideal partner would be either Banro or Ivanhoe.

Why now? China is as loathe to intrude upon the affairs of another government as they are loathe to have their affairs intruded upon. Now that the Congo has their t's crossed and their i's dotted with their miners the Chinese feel comfortable enough to do a little digging.

Who will they pick? I don't know. Ivanhoe surely has the largest and most accessible copper reserves, yet Banro has the best relationship with the Congo. Personally I would buy Ivanhoe and merge it into Banro. I wouldn't outright own Banro because there is no way I could do as fine a job as Banro does in relating to the Congolese, respecting their way of life and most importantly maintain the level of compassion for their citizens that Banro does.

I do want to respond to other posts but I will save my two messages left for later today so I have them if it takes another day to have my iHub account approved.

Regarding person marks...I am friendless on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and the like. I actually like people, even more animals which no doubt makes me odd. I also have a very deep understanding of what goes on below the surface of this Information Superhighway and I don't like it. The safest information to share is quite simply none at all. No offense intended...I just prefer browser bookmarks only I see as opposed to letting upstanding institutions like iHub hold them for me...they might peek. I will however mark boards I post on as posting inherently tends to let the cat out of the bag so to speak.
