EXCELLENT!
Kam Cho, Shail!

May our Holidays Continue:) (ahh, damn, gotta go to work in the morning)

Here's part of my family's story, in honor of all of ours, and why I'm sticking with APDN cause I just BELIEVE (no shitting in this AG, I do believe the DoD has to have this, God Bless You and Yours as well:)!

Had a picture, pretty much like this one down below, always hanging in the hall the Sharkey home on a dirt road in Central Jersey growing up. Not the same one, but it's close..
My dad told us it was the Sharkey clan's family home in County Tyrone, Ireland, and that was what we always thought. He had some distant cousins visiting our home, who asked him why he had a picture of the landlord's barn in our hallway? Gonna find the original picture next time I'm home. May be tough, been back home more than a couple of times looking for it.

Last time home, found some pages of my family history scrawled out in my dad’s handwriting in a three-ring binder, where he was responding to typed out questions:
WHAT DO YOU REMEMBER ABOUT YOUR OLDEST RELATIVE(S) YOU KNEW PERSONALLY? This is what my Dad wrote:

“The only relative of my Father (Cornelius) known by me was Catherine, wife of Charley Gormley who was a road maintenance man in Llewellyn Park, West Orange, NJ. They lived in the quarters supplied by the Park authorities. I remember him driving a team of horses pulling a tremendous wooden plow. Uncle Charley was able to supplement his income by providing maintenance services for the wealthy Lewellenite’s homes as the wintered in Florida. They had no children and Judy and I were invited over regularly for lunch with Aunt Catherine always giving us 10 or 15 cents for candy and share their blessings.”

It goes on: ), I don’t have much of an extended family on my father’s side. Had two second cousins on my mom's side dying it the World Trade Center when serving as First Responders. Both sides, a significant portion of my cousins fill positions throughout New Jersey and New York public sectors (teachers, police and firemen). We always say grace before meals. My brother-in-law, Terry MacAvery (married to Betsy:) has always been a staunch conservative and at times critical of the sector we buttered our bread with.
When Terry was present, my Dad would substitute the name of his favorite “saint” when leading us in the sign of the cross before grace “Franklin” (touch the head) “Delano” (touch your heart) “Rosa” (left shoulder) “Velt” (right shoulder). Then we’d fight like hell over politics : ).

This is a comparative picture of my Mom (in Newark, N.J) and Daughter (in London, England) on their respective wedding days, 64 years apart.
My mom and dad met while he was still a Catholic monk, Brother Michael, an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University teaching some social engineering class for night school. He gave her a B+ for the first two semesters, and she gave him my oldest sister Midge for the third.

His lawful name is Joseph. I'm named Michael (for his Christian Brother hood), Cornelius (for his dad), John (for my mom's dad), Jerome, Peter Sharkey so all bases are covered.

Wishing us all the best, believing in this stock, maybe more than I should, cause I think I can help:)
Sláinte
Michael Cornelius John Jerome Peter Sharkey
Good Luck to all of Us and a couple of Irish Blessings upon that

May the road rise to meet You
May the wind always be at your back
and the rain fall gently on your field
and until we meet again
May God hold You in the palm of His hand
