Yea, big... I hear ya... I have been going to MIS since I was 3 and that was in 1978...haven't missed but one race in that time frame...including the IROC races. Heck even MIS had attendance numbers that were just freaking crazy for about 10-12 years... expansion went balistic...now they are taking stands out and turning those areas into camper sites at a premium rate. I saw that place go from 40K - 140K (that is including infield accomodations)... now you see to many empty seats and to many vacant properties in the infield. I do give Roger Curtis and his team credit...they started addressing the concerns long before the rest of the tracks, but it is spooky to even see the 'motor city' not have the interest it used to. Something is missing, not sure what it is, but if the NASCAR/ISCA team ever figure it out we might get back to some of the good ol days.

I do have to agree though... some of the 'WOW' factor in investing in this might be slowing down... for now. I read an article somewhere about a week ago stating that souvenier sales were at/near all time highs for Daytona and Phoenix, but attendance numbers were no where near the numbers to support the data. LV was better then expected, but Bristol was a disaster. They couldn't give the tickets away 3 days before the race and the last 3 spring races were barely half full. Being a long time race fan I see an IRL sort of thing going on and it p!sses me off because I like looking at the pictures of the good ol days from MIS and remembering WHY and HOW it became so huge.

Personally, and overall, I just don't think the fan base is buying into a Toyota Camry and Ford Fusion racing a V-8 when you can't buy it in the showroom that way. If all they can come up with is the Chevy SS at least having a V-8 in it as the only car to support the good ol rules of the past then it should be the only car to run in the series. It sucks to think that way, but if the fans aren't buying into the product on the track because it isn't REAL then an ultimate demise is around the corner. If the manufacturers only can/want to put a V-6 in them in the showroom that's what you run. Implement all the safety features of today and make them 'run what they brung'... then maybe the interest from the past could establish present interest and the interest of the future.

Just my opinions... I am not a basher or pumper... just a fan that monitors this stock in the event of a monster dip at some point. 33$ isn't a good entry point IMO... I enjoy a good car race and Bristol this past weekend was a good one... one even that could swing my opinion, but the empty seats keep me well in check from race to race to jump on this stock.
