"Royalty bearing" could mean (1) ongoing royalties, or it could mean (2) a fully-paid up license via a one time upfront payment. (Or it could be one of many simple or very complex hybrid variations of the two.)

Until we see something in a filing or communicated to shareholders elsehwere, we have no idea how any deal was structured. And just to reiterate, we don't know for sure these licenses are royalty bearing -- it's just an educated guess.
